EOS Lip Balms | Review

Well, EOS lip balms are one of those things every beauty blogger wants at one point or another. Unfortunately, here in the UK they are bloody expensive and only available online. I was lucky enough to come across a 4-pack of limited edition on Amazon.co.uk for like £14 (not sure how it is now, cause from what I've noticed they keep changing the price every day...) The ones that came in the pack I ordered are Summer Fruit, Pomegranate Raspberry, Strawberry Sorbet and Fresh Watermelon, and let me tell you, they are the best-smelling lip balms I've ever tried (and I've got quite a few, I am lip balm-obsessed after all). The packaging is absolutely lush, I've not seen anything like it before and everybody seemed fascinated by it whenever I took it out of my handbag. They keep my lips nicely moisturised throughout the day (gonna need them especially now that colder times are coming), they do need re-applying quite often but that doesn't bother me really. I'm really impressed with them but I think the price is a bit much, I just got lucky with this pack I think. I wouldn't pay £8-£10 for one of them, but if you're looking for a good lip balm Baby Lips from Maybelline will do the job just fine for £2.99 (bargain!).

Cath Kidston Wild Flowers Assorted Lip Balms | Review

As big of a lip balm lover as I am I had to get these as soon as I saw them (plus they are Cath Kidston and I absolutely adore that brand). The lip balms are in Bluebell, Honeysuckle and Wild Rose. I'm not too keen on the last one, smell of roses on my lips just feels wrong to me for some reason but I know a lot of people that like it so. I'm head over heels with the other too though, they smell gorgeous. The balms are extremely moisturising, a little too much I would say. It feels like my lips are wet if I put on more than one layer, so I try to stick to one. I really like trying out new lip balms, especially the ones that are nicely scented so I will definitely keep using those for a while, until I spot something new again probably. They stay on fairly long, but need re-applying every now and again. The packaging is the first reason I picked them up, Cath Kidston packaging is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. It's a little expensive but you can treat yourself from time to time and three lip balms for £10 isn't too bad considering one sells for £5.

Maybelline Baby Lips

I am quite disappointed with Maybelline for not releasing Baby Lips in the UK to be honest, Amazon charges more for delivery than for the product itself. So I decided to get a couple to check it out but in a chapstick form since it was cheaper and I have to say they work amazing. Plus they smell so delicious, I got mine in Mango Pie and Anti-Oxidant Berry so you can probably imagine. They are moisturising and really helped my lips get better throughout winter, so I'm glad I got them. They don't last very long, but I don't mind re-applying every now and then. It leaves a nice sheer glow which I like a lot too as a lip balm finish. I wouldn't choose them over Nivea lip balms though.

NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balms

I don't really own any NYC makeup, this one was kinda my first. I got two lip balms because well, I love my lip balms and these looked so appealing. They have tiny little apples in the middle that just make the tubes look pretty. It's not the best lip balm I tried though, it's not glossy as it says it is, it does have a sparkle to it but it's not what I expected and it needs a lot of re-applying.  On the other hand I love the way they smell (of apples obviously), so re-applying is not too bad. I absolutely love this kind of smell of apples, it's so nice. It's not as moisturizing as any other lip balm I tried unfortunately, so I don't think I'll be using it often. But I will definitely keep smelling them, as I do. I'm a little weird when it comes to nice scents. Maybe they will work better in the summer, I hope so at least.
