MUA Lipsticks

^ From left: shade 9, shade 7 and shade 14

Since I started testing a variety of lipsticks lately I had to get the £1 MUA ones. I have mixed opinions, not really sure what to start with. Well, I do like the way shades 9 and 14 look on my lips, they are nicely pigmented and stay on for quite a while. But when it comes to shade 7 I was so disappointed, I liked the colour a lot and hoped it would look amazing, but the result was the exact opposite. The lipstick wasn't anywhere near as pigmented as the other two and my lips looked really bad, as if there were little cracks all over. All three lipsticks seemed really nice when I swatched them in the store, so maybe the one I picked up is just faulty. Now on to the packaging, I like the way it looks - black tube with the colour at the bottom in a tiny plastic. However, once I unwrapped it I realised that this tiny bit of plastic with colour inside it comes off really easily which I'm not particularly happy about. Plus, the shade 7 lipstick is really loose and seems like it's going to fall apart completely. Then again, they were only £1. I'm definitely going to use shades 9 and 14 (I especially like 9), but shade 7 is going to the back off my drawer I'm afraid.

Eyeshadow: MUA

I was never an eyeshadow person, probably because I couldn't find any good ones that would stay on for longer than a couple of hours. Only recently I decided to have another go and got quite a few. I didn't get my hopes up too much though.
MUA eyeshadows are £1, so I grabbed a few but I thought one quid most likely won't get me far. I couldn't be any more wrong. They are so pigmented and apply easier than I thought. They stay on the eyelids for hours and hours, I usually use them during the day and there is no smudging or anything since the moment they are applied until the moment they are taken off. I've not been impressed with anything as cheap and as good yet. I am definitelty going to be getting more on my next trip to Superdrug. MUA surprises me every time. First I have doubts because of the price, then I fall in love. But then again, it's better to be surprised by the quality of the product you're not sure about than get your hopes up and be disappointed.
