Revlon Lip Butters New Shades

I was glad to see that Revlon finally brought out new shades of their famous lip butters for this Spring/Summer. I wasn't too big of a fan of the old shades for some reason but these new ones look just amazing. I got Wild Watermelon, Juicy Papaya and Pink Lemonade, and I have to say I love them all pretty much equally. They are all nicely pigmented, but Wild Watermelon has more pigmentation than the other two and it's easy to get an opaque coverage with it. All of the lip butters I got have a balmy, sheen finish and I've noticed they are more moisturizing than the old shades I own (at least they are more moisturizing for me). They last for about two hours before re-applying which is alright, but could be better. I absolutely love the quilted packaging, especially the vivid pink tube of the Wild Watermelon one. Overall, I'm really happy I got them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good lip product. Looks like Revlon is back to being my favourite drugstore brand.

Soap&Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks

My love to lip products in a stick form is growing, now it's time for Soap&Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks. I've heard a lot about these before but only decided to get them recently. The shades I got are Nudist and Plum Jam, and I absolutely love them after only a few days of using. They are really glossy, smell of vanilla and are very easy to apply, no need for a mirror which is a plus. The sticks leave my lips soft and don't dry them out, a lot of products do that for me unfortunately so I'm really glad these work just great. They are not very pigmented though, but to be honest it doesn't bother me because I love the outcome so much. I was actually a little scared that Plum Jam would look weird on me but it doesn't and I like it better than Nudist in fact. Another good thing about the products is that they have a twist up mechanism so there's no messing with a sharpener. I absolutely love Soap&Glory's Gloss Sticks and I will definitely re-purchase both shades.

Rimmer Undercover Shadow Primer

Rimmel has been on a roll lately, not so long ago the brand released their eyeshadow primer. I wasn't too keen on it, I didn't like the packaging or the consistency of it but I decided to give it a go anyway and try something new after using NYX primer for ages now. It's the cheapest primer I came across, I heard that MUA has one but couldn't find it anywhere. Considering it's designed in a lipgloss/concealer form the applicator doesn't spread the product well and it needs to be blended with a finger. The product itself is a white, shimmery liquid that becomes smooth once applied to the lids. It usually lasts around 5 hours for me before the eyeshadow starts to fade and crease, so it's not the best result. It doesn't work well at all with cream eyeshadows I noticed, probably because they don't need a base but helps with powder ones. I find that NYX primer works much better for me so I don't think I will be using this one a lot.

Benefit Smokin' Eyes Palette

I've had this little palette in my drawer for about six months and never actually had an opportunity to try it. I don't know why but I always thought it would be faster to just use separate products, it's not. I have to say I was quite surprised when my eye makeup was done in a few minutes, and it looked really nice too. I love the eyeshadows, not too sure about the brow shade though - I feel like the brown doesn't match my overall look. Or maybe it's because I'm so in love with Maybelline's brow pencil at the moment. The colours blend well with and without the primer, but last for much longer with the primer applied. Tweezers are really handy, especially when I'm out, I don't always carry tweezers around but with this palette in my bag I don't have to worry about it (I always need tweezers at weird times). I love the black eyeliner that comes with the set, it stays on surprisingly long even on the bottom lash line without smudging. I've seen people complaining about the eyeliner but it works for me so. The duo brush is alright, but I personally prefer long, proper brushes but this one works okay except it feels too small for me. I love the smokey eye look, but I would choose my Bourjois trio anyday over this palette. It is good and I will use it from time to time but I prefer to use separate products.
