MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle | Review

I know it's been like ages and ages since I last posted, but I had lots of things to sort out and stuff. Anyway, I'm back now and definitely have enough time to do some blogging business. I decided to write this post about something I have absolutely fallen in love with and been thinking of since I got MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade and surprise, surprise it's the famous Soft and Gentle. I have to say I had quite high expectations after seeing all the hype it's getting (I actually haven't come across any negative posts or videos about it). And it absolutely lives up to everything it's known for. It adds a nice, subtle sheer to the face and has a glowy (in a good way) finish. Soft and Gentle is a champagne colour highlighter enriched with a hint of pink and gold shimmer. It's well-pigmented so it needs a light hand when applying, a little goes a long way with this product. I usually use it for the inner corners of my eyes, brow bones and cheekbones, and I love it's staying power, all day with maybe one little touch-up and that's after like 6-7h. I can't really say enough good things about Soft and Gentle, it's one of my favourite products ever and I'm so glad I tried it out. Definitely re-purchase and recommend.

MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline | Review

I picked up this eyeliner by accident actually, I was getting a couple of lipsticks in MAC and then I thought why not try their pencil eyeliner. I seem to have bad luck with finding one that wouldn't fade or smudge. Until now I was using Rimmel Scandal Eyes eyeliners but they needed re-touching like every 20 minutes so  though MAC could be a good shout and I got a very black one in Feline for my top and bottom inner waterlines. Staying power of this product is amazing, the colour lasts for about 3-4 hours before I need to re-apply, which is a nice change from the constant re-applying with other pencil eyeliners. It goes on smoothly and one swipe is enough to get an opaque look. I absolutely love this product and will definitely be getting more shades - white and nude, and maybe brown at IMATS, which is less than a month away now. Can't wait for it. Anywho, if you are looking for a good eyeliner Feline is definitely it and you wouldn't regret giving this product a go. I will definitely re-purchase.

MAC Lipstick in Crosswires | Review

After picking up Vegas Volt I decided to get another summery lipstick, well actually I was going to MAC with Ruby Woo in mind but decided to get something less 'red' as I'm just not brave enough for this one. I found Crosswires and fell in love with it, the colour caught my eye straight away, I was surprised I haven't noticed it before. The lipstick is a nice pinky-coral shade, it's quite bright but not neon-ish or in your face. It's good for going out as well as completing an everyday makeup look, it's a perfect statement lipstick. It also has a nice golden sheen to it, which you can see in the last photo. The lipstick is buildable, two swipes are enough to get an opaque look but you can apply less or more depending on how strong you want the colour to be. It's well-pigmented, smooth and long-lasting, usually 3-4 hours, however it leaves a pretty stain on my lips so I tend to re-apply only once or twice. The product doesn't dry out my lips or settle into liplines, which I've noticed some people complained about, it works just brilliant for me. I absolutely love the creaminess of this lipstick and how comfortable it feels on my lips. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a statement lipstick but are afraid of a full-on red lips look. This one is a winner for me.

MAC Lipstick in Vegas Volt | Review

I'm more of a light, sheer kind of lipstick person but I decided to go out of my comfort zone and picked up MAC's Vegas Volt about a month ago. And since I love all the lipsticks from MAC I already have, I decided this would be a good brand for my first bright spring/summery colour. Vegas Volt is a really nice coral shade with a hint of Orange that also leans to the pink and I'm surprised at how much I actually like it. It looks a little scary and neony in the tube but looks brilliant once applied. The formula is amazingly pigmented and creamy, and it doesn't dry out my lips (I'm so lucky to find so many lipsticks that don't make my lips dry lately). The lipstick is very moisturising and stays put for hours - about 3-4h without re-applying. It's quite vibrant but without being tacky. Also I absolutely love the name of this lipstick and that's what actually made me give it a go in the first place. I think every girl/woman needs a coral lipstick in their collection and Vegas Volt is the perfect choice.
Unfortunately, the photos don't do the product's justice so if you have a chance, stop by a MAC counter and check it out.
Have you tried Vegas Volt yet? What's your favourite MAC lipstick?
